Poetry

When I was a freshman in high school, my friend told me that the people in poetry club were getting out of class to go see a poetry slam, so we both went to our first club meeting and ended up being to late to sign up for the field trip, but for some reason we ended up going back the next week, and the next week. After a while I read a poem aloud at poetry club for the first time- and that was the first poem of many that I have now written.
